OUR COACHES
Chris Cardinale - Head Coach
Originally from Kingston, New York, Coach Cardinale played and coached baseball and softball at all competitive levels from youth, to high school and college. Many of Coach's former players have played or committed to play at the collegiate level. Coach Cardinale is passionate about coaching and mentoring the next generation of student athletes. He regularly attends and speaks at local and national coaching conferences and events, and is active in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and the American Baseball Coaches Association. Coach was a co-founder and longtime director of the highly successful Arlington Storm travel baseball program and regularly volunteers his time for a variety of local softball and baseball clinics. Coach Cardinale's teams are recognized for very high player retention, consistent development, and attention to details. Coach was most recently the head of the Virginia Stars FFX 14A program, posting over 100 wins in the last three seasons along with several tournament championships while competing against other recognized national programs. During the high school season, Coach Cardinale is an assistant coach for the Wakefield High School varsity baseball team in Arlington, VA. When not coaching, you can find Coach playing (often injuring himself) in an adult wood bat baseball league, on the golf course, or fly fishing.

Brittany Wieland - Assistant Coach
Originally from Fairfax, Virginia, Coach Brittany played for Hayfield High School and was recruited to play at Lawrence Tech from 2018-2021, where she started all four years at shortstop. In addition to serving as a team captain and consistently earning All-Academic and All-Conference accolades, Brittany also graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's in Biomedical Engineering. Growing up, Brittany played for the Vienna Stars and regularly attended PGF Nationals and showcase tournaments, including the Birmingham Thunderbolts Showcase. Originally recruited as a catcher/utility, Brittany has practiced and now regularly coaches all skills of the game. In addition to coaching the Bolts, Brittany is an assistant coach at Edison High School in Alexandria, VA and helped lead the team to a conference championship in her first year. Outside of softball, Brittany is a Body Armor Engineer for the U.S. Army at PEO Soldier. In her free time, Brittany continues to play in both a fast and slow pitch league and volunteers at her local animal shelter.
